Do they sell temperature/pressure relief valves with 3/4s female threads? The cylinder has a male thread for this connection. I am G3. Thanks

Yes, female inlet TPR valves are available, though most of the ones stocked at the merchants are male inlet 3/4. If you are stuck, a short 3/4 male to male nipple in the cylinder boss lets you use a standard male inlet valve without any problem. Just keep the discharge pipework to the usual G3 requirements.

The composite valve is ok reducing pressure to 3bar. The expansion vessel has the correct pre-charge of 3bar. There is no back pressure on the cold side from a mixer tap as mains pressure is also 3 bar. Can these valves some times just go wrong, will be 18 years old

How would a male nipple help him ?

The only other thing it could be is if the hot water zone valve was stuck open and constantly flowing 75c water from the boiler through the coil. Anyone experienced this before/the best way of testing this. I imagine one way is to have the heating off and hot water and turn heating on and see if the primarys the other side of the zone valve get hot to towards the cylinder.

That's the zone valve
