terminal joining kits?

Ive got a bunch of firex maintained smoke heads, they come with little whip harnesses which plug into the back of the head, and leave the installer with flying leads to connect into the backbone fourcore&earth.
is there some sort of nifty modern "connection system" for this, rather than using traditional JBs or terminal block & enclosures?

just found "click flow" connector blocks. they look like a good solution for my smoke heads and for many other things too.... are they? or is this a gimmick to be avoided?

The click Flow connector is made for lighting circuits, so wilol not have enough terminals for your purposes.

Wago may be the way to go. Here's a selection.

I have seen those Wago things which surely appear to be v handy but dont they rely on a spring to make an electrical contact? heaven knows Im not normally a stickler for safety but I dont much like the idea of a spring loaded contact being hidden away in a ceiling void....

It does. Although the page you linked to is for a 3-pin connector, the photo on that page is of a 4-pin one. As a note on the page says:

(please note image shows a 4 pin C version - just for illustration purpose only - this model is a 3 pin).

So 4-pin ones obviously do exist. However, I don't recall having seen one, so you might have some difficulty in sourcing them.

They are very reliable and are designed to be "maintenance free". This means that you can make the connection and bury the joint in an inaccessible place and forget it. You can't do that with a Click Flow as it has screw terminals.

The Wago has two types, there's a pressure contact type (for solid conductors) and lever/spring types for stranded. There are also some that have facilities for terminating both types. (The WA112 for example).
I have installed hundreds of these and never had a failure yet.
(Unlike crimping)

Like John, I have never seen a 4 pin one. But you said that you wanted to connect

so that's a 5 pin connector????

They make a back plate for them which comes with a small bit of connector block and has some locating pins for it
