Texecom Custom Output

Looking for some assistance with Texecom Custom Outputs for a specific client request...

Client has a Texecom 64-W panel with a Hardwired 8XP Expander into their Garage.

On the exterior of the Garage, there is a Master Blaster which is wired into Output 1 of the Expander, They currently have Output 1 set to Zone 10 Mimic Armed (So when the Garage Door opens when the zone is Armed, the master blaster triggers) this all works perfectly fine...

They have an issue that their 2yr old daughter is managing to escape out of the front door into the Garden and besides the obvious of locking the door each time, they have asked for...

When Zone 09 is open for more than 15 seconds, they want the master blaster to trigger also

Anybody have any ideas with the custom logic for this?

not sure this can be done without it causing a nuisance in the first instance so I would advise your client against it completely as likely to end up with them being in trouble with the authorities, unless they live in the middle of nowhere.

Secondly whilst I can think of ways this might be achieved it would need testing to know where the flaws are so you can advise the clients properly.

I would look at something that triggers on the door being left open and say a beam outside being activated. You get a faulty contact, low battery on a wireless device or a wire cut if hard wired) you are going to have 127 db siren going off.so a secondary device may make it less likely to be a nuisance.

the problem with the secondary device is how to get a child only to activate and not an adult walking the same route.

JG on the Texecom forum may provide a solution but may just advise against it.
