Texecom micro contact-W flashing, it didn't before

Hello,

I've just replaced the coin battery in my Micro contact-W as the keypad told me to. Now the square button on the contact is slowing flashing green when secure, red when open, as it should so I read. However this never did it before, surely it'll eat up the battery? Can this be turned off?

how long has it being doing it?

cant remember how long after changing the battery it stops.

have you done a walk test and does it show up as activating when doing he walk test

It's been doing it since put in new battery straight away.
An hour later and i've just checked and its stopped.

1 hour seems a long time.
