Texecom Odyssey X vs E Sounders

I'm looking to install a new alarm with external sounder.

The Odyssey 5E looks quite appealing for a DIY install as it doesn't have the blank space for a logo like the X series.

However, I can't find much about the E series and they appear to be absent from the Texecom website.

Any thoughts on say the Odyssey 5E vs X + X1 cover?

The bell boxes are the same sounder.

1-5, X E is 1 piezo grade 2
1-5, X is 2 piezo grade 3
B is for back light.

Compact version of the 5 style is smaller.

Differences can be found in the manuals for current consumption volume and extra wiring options for the grade 3 units.

I will say this that 5 compact is tight on space compared to the 5.

Warranty wise the E only had 2 years and the full version had 5 years don’t know if that’s still the case.

The 1-5 range grade 3 units had a seal that the E versions didn’t, not really looked in recent times as I tend to put up wireless. bells or grade 3 ones only.

For anyone interested I went ahead with the Odyssey 5E. They aren't easy to find on the Texcom website but still a current model. Not sure on the warranty, but it's well made and should last a long time!
