Texecom Premier Elite 24

The day has come to get the rest of the kit to fit my Texecom alarm. Premier elite 24 Wired system -thanks Sparkymark for recommendation- with 7 PIRs( CAPTURE-) and a door contacts. Oddysey Bell fitted on old Gardiner system, so all Texecom.

Re-using original 6 core wiring.

Could I have a Recommendation please for door contacts - the two doors are next to each other so wiring on the same zone (I know not ideal) .

No- its 2 patio doors. Entrance is into a hall with a PIR.

Entry shouldn’t be a pir.

As for door contacts look at resistors ones by CQR or Knight and see what suits. They come with wiring diagrams and how to use the resistor values.

Grade 3 have have to be perfectly aligned with the magnets. As they are designed to avoid someone placing a magnet near by and deactivating them.

Grade 2 is normal option, not that it matters too much as system isn’t graded.

Some look better than others and you can usually get different colours as not everyone has white doors.

You could look at an impaq sc or similar and hard wire some basic contacts into that and then you would also have a shock sensor on the doors. Can be useful.
