Hello everyone,

I recently moved into a new property and I'm finding my way around the Texecom alarm system. The engineers that installed it no longer trade, so engineer code is unknown.

There were several system alerts that I have now resolved through changing batteries.

I now have one persistent issue - there is a Texecom Premier Elite Micro Shock-W on a door that is flashing green slowly. I am confident this is causing a Zone Active notification on the panel.

Any ideas what this is? I am minded to try a battery change first, but don't want to cause a bigger issue that requires me to call out an engineer.

Thanks all,

Matt

I listened to a tech podcast and guy managed to get access to alarm.

Connect up and take some guesses.

Connected laptop and used freely available generic software with a usb lead

The green flashing means the unit has power but it’s struggling to find the network.

Remove the battery, press the button several times.

Insert new battery.

If problem persists re do the commissioning mode, if it still exists then take a photo of the device inthe chances are it’s struggling and a deeper back box may resolve your issue. If it already has the deeper back box then you will need to look at moving the sensor possibly.

You can check the signal strength in engineering richochet diagnostics, blank or ???? Means it’s struggling values of 40 and over desirable get away with 30 most of the time 20 and your likely to be regularly struggling.
