I have a Texecom Smarcom V2 that has lost wifi connection to my router.

I've tried to access the Smartcom config page but with no luck via phone as it says incorrect password.

I pressed the internal button 5 times and that reset the device but still can't login.

I've connected a ethernet cable and the only page I can get access to is : http://192.168.8.111/config_allinet.php

That give me the following page.

I just can't get access to the setup screen.

Any help greatly appreciated.

If you can’t reset the unit connect via Ethernet cable.

Log into the cloud account and see if an update is available, not sure what options are available other than upgrade or reboot off top of my head.

If option not available.
Then remove the smart com cable smart com and wait 20 seconds and replug in.

With the front cover of smart com off press and release the yellow button at lest 15 times and try the login procedure again.

After that you may need to contact Texecom on Monday when they are open.

Thanks for the reply,

The firmare is the latest 4.06.01

I've connected via ethernet as per above and only seem to get half a config page no wifi config.

I've pressed the button a load of times and all the leds flash to indicate reset and it does reboot but same result

What does it show when you try to connect via your phone …does it broadcast the SSID ( this will be the code o side the smartcom eg
ARH0000001

It does broadcast the ssid but the password always comes back as invalid when trying to join

I’ve then tried resetting the ssid password by pressing the button on the smartcom about 10 times quickly, all leds flash rapidly as it resets snd reboots but same pronlem.

Connecting a lan cable to the smartcom does result in comms from the smartcom to the texecom cloud but I can’t access the setup page to switch to WiFi

This to be either getting it wrong, or not reset or the password on the unit is wrong.

There was an installer in Doncaster for example where the SID of the Unit didn't match the SSID being broadcast and had to get the info from Texecom.

If you get no joy then it needs looking by Texecom.

Never haven't had a smart com that hasn't been recoverable other than V1 that weren't flashed up to at least V2.

had a few interesting complications all of which have been resolvable,

If your struggling send me your smart com and I will take a look at it, if i cant get it defaulted and working with 24hrs of receiving it I will send it back as is no charge, if I get it working then as long as return postage is paid. fairly sure its recoverable.

I’ve had one where it had lost its SSID …It was coming up with something different spoke to tech support they couldn’t sort it , posted on the texecom toolbox and got the correct info ..think it was showing AP-HUB …and the password was something like 12345678

possibly but need to know what it’s showing.

Ie ssid matching that on the unit.

If it is it should be a case of defaulting it.

If it’s showing something else then a different route is required.
