I have leaking bath tap. It is a wall mounted style bath mixer. Being the modern tap I thought this would just be a case of replacing the ceramic disc, but no. A plumber says its the valves, but all the plumbers merchants do not stock these valves so the whole taps need replacing at a massive cost. He said he blew through the valves and could feel air. Does anyone no where I can buy these valves. (see pic). Should there be a ceramic disc inside, if so where? The pipes 15mm with 1/2" BSP. Thanks.

'Fraid not. These look decidedly French to me.

Looks like you've been kippered somewhere along the way!

The rectangular drive peg on the base of the bit of tap you've unscrewed SHOULD engage with a disc module which fits onto that plated metal bit with the small lugs on it. So where's it gone??? The water will just run straight through the tap without it, so it must have been there until very recently!

Presumably, the other tap is identical and therefore has the same disc assembly...? But be careful - they may turn left and right handed (or not!). (Still unscrew anti-clock, though)
