I mean, it's not as if we had a Culture Minister who believed that Ch4 was in receipt of licence fees, that Ch5 was a celebration of privatisation, or that the business model of Netflix ( worth 1/3 of it's price and never made a profit) is something to aspire to.
Plus her only involvement with culture involved eating an ostrich anus.

And in some respects, deservedly so, but to be fair, the last laugh is with the majority who voted Tory in 2019. The alternative Labour line up would have been the laughing stock of the world.

There are some non-idiots in the Tory party. But because of Boris's Brexit purity tests they've been shoved aside to an unprecedented degree.

Which has meant that Boris has been choosing from a very limited pool of talent for a party that has a majority. So limited that Chris Grayling was employed as more than a human doorstop.

The alternative universe where Labour won the last election is probably a lovely place but it's not worth fantasising about it much.
