The two Bobs

Did they call for the death of Israeli civilians? I missed that.
The problem with your civilian /IDF "get out clause"
is that Israel's enemies make no such distinction because in their eyes all Israelis are IDF because they once were as being in the IDF is mandatory for all 18 years olds apart from just a few.

Members of the IDF are just doing a job. They are as human as anyone. Sons & daughters of someone and all will be appauled at this hate speach. Inciting violence and hatred is an offence, Calling for anyones death is disgusting and shows a complete lack of understanding of what they are doing. The IDF are professional soldiers fighting for their country and if they die doing that then it is a tragedy not something to chant about.

They don't even have a choice but to be in the IDF. Apart from a few reasons that discount them.

So I assume people will be expecting them to get 3 years jail for their hate speech?

The irony:

"Formed in Ipswich in 2017, the band rap about racism, homophobia, toxic masculinity, and far-right politics."
I'd assert there is a difference, although I condone neither and yes, if he's found to be in breach of our laws on this, he should be prosecuted.

One was singing at an event in the UK, saying death to the IDF, who are in Israel. In reality, what are the chances of there being any detrimental effect on the IDF through him saying this? Surely little to zero.

The other was tweeting in the UK, one would assume mainly for the eyes of those within the UK, about locations within the UK, suggesting set fire to all the f **** hotels full of the b **** for all I care. In reality, this had much more chance of creating a detrimental effect for anyone within these hotels, whether migrants and/or staff.

What's that? Cousin Mike is dead?

Yeah did you not hear? He managed to get himself a security job in one of those hotels housing migrants. A few idiots set about the place and he got killed in the mayhem.

I understand the point you have made. But I don't know whether that is the legal issue. Is it enough that chanting "death to the IDF" might stir up hatred against Israeli citizens in the UK?

What are your thoughts on Kneecap calling for people to murder their local Tory MP. Bear in mind that of the 9 MP's killed in this country in the last 100 years, 6 of those were carried out by the IRA.

It seems like hate speech to me…sling em in jail for 3 years.

“death to the IDF”
“From the river to the sea”

Unacceptable

I know the IDF is a military, but it’s also made of individual people, It’s not uncommon for Jewish families in the U.K. to have family members that go and do their bit in the IDF in Israel. It would only take 1 nutter to decide he needs to find one living here in U.K. and kill them.

The band are blatant supporters of terrorist groups

Liam is already facing charges under terrorism act for waving flag of Hezbollah

Fek knows why Glastonbury booked them

Yeah, the extremist Jewish sects can skip conscription.

It's a huge leap to go from 'kill the Iranian Revolutionary Guard ' to 'kill all Muslims'. I'm not seeing it.

Why do people think that it's ok for the IDF to kill unarmed civilians but be immune from having people say hurty words about them?
The anger is palpable.

There is obviously huge anger. But hurty words which call for violence might cross a line.

i wonder what these idealistic festival goers would think if Hamas arrived on the scene and started killing, raping and taking them hostage - after all it was a music festival in Israel where their terror attacks started

Most of them wouldn't like it at all. In fact, they'd probably hate it.
