There are some sick people in this country.

There is a lot of speculation and assumptions being made. The facts are, none of us know what we'd really do in that situation for a start. It might have been valuable seconds/minutes before the parents even knew what was going on. You'd like to think that a parent would be watching a 3 year old all the time, but some are more lax with that sort of thing than others.

The bloke who pushed him in, could have been mentally ill yes, but even if he was, I doubt he was doing that sort of thing all the time, otherwise he wouldn't be allowed out or would be under much tighter supervision. The thing with mental illness, especially paranoid schizophrenia (if that was even the case), can bring about psychotic states and manic behaviours very quickly and with no prior warning.

The only conclusion I can draw is - at 3 years old my son was watched like a hawk; the worst thing he did at a zoo was throw his dummy into the monkey enclosure, causing chaos. But I am sceptical of every other human and that's why I've been called a cynic, a misery, pessimist etc etc but I'd rather do that than live in a bubble and think that everyone else has my best interests at heart

Let's wait for the outcome of the police investigation - and let's hope they make it snappy.
You’re talking a croc of shìt.
Very poor taste.
There’s posts that some find in poor taste (before we knew a croc was actually involved) and then there’s this:

"Snap up these deals quicker than a croc can catch a kid!"

Now THATS what I call bad taste.

"The suspect is believed to have learning disabilities and had been on a trip to the zoo with carers."

Anyone who actually knows anything about this field (albeit second hand from a relative in my case) would know that per hour funding hasn't increased in real terms during the last decade or so...

Despite the increased costs of providing such a service, and increased needs...

Maybe an incorrect risk assessment happened, but no doubt an expensive inquiry will 'establish the facts' and 'lessons will be learned'...

Maybe if the resources were provided in the first place a more robust system would exist, but it appears what some people want is tax cuts:rolleyes:

Anyone criticising should bear that in mind...

Or they could of course wish to go back to building 'Asylums'

The firm added: "It should never have been written, it was never approved for use. The responsibility sits with us and we are urgently reviewing how our processes failed.

My guess (and it is only a guess) is that their process failure was deciding to stop using human beings to create advertising emails.
