thermalite, celcon, durox and now fibolite blocks?

as a diyer, I know about aircrete blocks, but have never heard of fibolites.

How long have they been around? do they have problems ie screws don't hold, are they heavier than aircrete blocks?[/list]

Fibolites have been around for a long time now...used more up North I gather, but there is a place in Bristol that manufacture something similar called a fibotherm.

Slightly heavier, but hardly, no problems with fixings, in fact i've worked for a few guys down here that prefer them to therm's, but check your u-values before making a direct substitution.
