Hi New to this website, jslight problem wonder how to fix it? I have a thermecon oil boiler with a honeywell thermostat, i have hot water coming through but when i try to put the heating on nothing happens, there is no light on the combi boiler. However when i turn on the hot water power is resumed at it pumps it through. The Honeywell thermostat is hard wired to the boiler as when i need the hot water on it reads this and the boiler starts.

Any Advice would be great

Thanks Robert

You haven't said which model boiler. It's likely the motorised valve is either sticking, or dead.

Nine times out of ten it's the valve head failed/failing that causes no heating.

I lost count of the number of times I changed the motorhead. Most reliable repair is to change the motorhead complete as faffing about with the synchronous motor inside and its thin wiring is often a waste of time especially where access is limited.
