I've seen some Hansgrohe concealed levered mixers for two outlets which I believe is one product I would require to have both an overhead shower and a hand shower.

I've noticed some (such as the first photo) are non-thermostatic, whereas others (second photo) are thermostatic.

How necessary is the thermostatic function, is it worth paying the extra money for?

Thanks.

Thermostatic should give you a constant temperature regardless of (reasonable) supply variations and a maximum temp at which the shower will deliver water.

Good idea esp. if children are using the shower
