Ok, so i know this is not advised but was wondering if there was a workaround?

Basically i have now fitted a wireless thermostat as my previous one was fixed on the landing. The only real options downstairs are:

- the living room where we spend most time but the room has a TRV
- the entrance hall (quite small) which doesnt have the TRV but will likely get draft from.the front door plus from inside the cupboard (gas pipe etc going through to outside)

I have tried to get round it by turning the TRV in living room up to max hoping that the thermostat will turn the boiler off before the radiator gets to max temp anyway, would that work?

Any other ideas?

Thanks[/img]

1) Take the trv head off in which ever room you put the stat

2) Fit some draught proofing to the front door and cupboard!

Yes. That was the idea. It will no longer be thermostatic and will work off the thermostat on the wall.
