I have a baxi boiler, for 2 years ive not had a thermostat and worked the heating with the mechanical timer, ive now got a new born premature baby, so i have to keep the room temp at around 18'c, ive brought a epi esterfw thermostat and receiver wired it correctly and its paired with each other but it wont work the boiler, the boiler is on and thermostat works and the light comes on, on the receiver, but the boiler just carries on past the desired temp, ive tried another new thermostat and receiver and it would just do the same, ive also tried swapping wires around but still same, can anybody help

If you so sure you wired it correctly why did you swap wires around is my first thought

never heard of epi esterfw.Google cannot even hazard a guess at it!

I wired it same as last 1 was wired, same as the instructions said and some1 told me to try swapping the wires around to see if it made any difference, it did not ! Do u think i need a new cable to the boiler ?

Post a picture of the boiler wiring, did you take the link out when you connected the thermostat ?

What model is your Baxi? That picture you posted is the backplate used on several makes of programmers/timers so give a clue what make & model do you have?

Babies don't explode if the temp varies, I would not worry too much, getting baby too warm is to be avoided, but quite easy to keep baby at suitable temp even in unheated property.
