My Mum has got this Danfoss thermostat and she is finding it hard to get used to (she is 84) what i am wondering is there anyway this can be used where she can turn the heating on and off manually without any pre-settings ?
I notice there is no off or on buttons or automatic turn on buttons on this thermostat to just put the heating on and off at the touch of a button.
Also i was wondering when i had a quick look at this thermostat the setting on the LCD for showing the temperature was at 23.5 C (that was the large numbers on the LCD) now i take it this was the ambient temperature for the hall that the thermostat is on or is this a setting that can be changed so that it can be set to a lower C say for instance 18-20.
The reason i ask is when the LCD reading is showing the room at 23.5 then the boiler won’t kick in until you hit that temperature ie set to come on at 18:00 with the temperature reading beside this at 24 ? this would mean that the heating is running at 24 C where her old one could be set to kick in when the thermostat was at 15-18 sort of range.
It has been set for the 5/2 programme where the settings are Mon-Fri
1: 14:00 - 24 C
2: 15:00 - 13 C
3: 18:00 - 24 C
4: 22:00 - 13 C
Sat/Sun
14:00 - 24 C
15:00 - 13 C
18:00 - 24 C
22:00 - 13 C
Would it be just as well set on the 24 hr one set of programmes for the whole week, since the times are set the same throughout the 5/2 programme ? thx in advance
