However 12v / 24v is not the issue, the issue is the danger associated with having 230V mains from more than one supply.
Make up your mind, one minute talking about extra low voltage and the next low voltage. The picture seems wrong should it not be

Whilst there's an official definition of 'low' and 'extra low' voltages I imagine the vast majority of DIY'ers wouldn't know what they are, which is why I tend to state the voltages if I know them.

Regarding the diagram it's straight from a Bosch Greenstar boiler manual, so if you think it's likely to be misunderstood, I suggest you contact them and tell them they are using the wrong term. However less pedantic folks will know that they are using the term 'low voltage' to differentiate it from 230V mains. Even though according to the official definition 230V is "low voltage"
