I've replaced my hot water tank thermostat the old one is/was a switchmaster the new one is a sunvic the wiring is 3 core and earth but the new one requires no earth Q1 is what to do with the earth wire Q2 is do i wire it back up the same ie 1 red 2 yellow 3 blue.Thanks in advance.

As wire colours are not standard in heating systems, I will have to explain by what they are connect to.

The wire to programmer HW ON goes to Sunvic 3

The wire to programmer HW OFF goes to Sunvic 2 (grey valve wire also connected here)

The wire to valve orange goes to Sunvic 1 (boiler switched live also connects here)

The earth wire is not needed and should be made safe.
