I suspect that some of my TRVs (which are quite old) are stuck. I have read about removing the head and tapping the body but unfortunately I cannot remove the head. I can pull it about half a centimetre and then I have to let go. It feels as though it is on a very strong spring. There are no screws or obvious means of removing the head. I should be grateful for any help. Many thanks.

Hello ollski,

Many thanks for your prompt response. The valves stick out horizontally from the radiators. At the end is a circular black piece which sticks out about half a centimetre and it says on it 'Danfoss Thermostat'. The main part which twizzles round and which has on it the temperature settings is cream plastic. The central heating was put in about 15 years ago. I think that is all the information I can give you.

Regards,

kmt
