Hi,

I'm thinking about replacing my bath mixer with thermostatic one.
I've got open vented system in my house, will it be suitable for this kind of tap as they require at least 1bar water pressure.

Thanks.

you should have well over 1 bar - but to be on the safe side check using a pressure gauge - cost £20ish from b and q, wickes, etc.

Hi,

Best to double check the pressure, with open vented / gravity hot water circuit, the pressure all depends on head from your CWSC in loft.

Generally it is well below 1 bar on hot and cold.

yep def double check-mine is luckily over 1 bar, but gravity fed can be very low. so you may need to install a shower pump as well! i am installing a new MIRA shower soon with a pump as even though my pressure if OK I want it better.
