I have just fitted a Bristan Carre thermostatic shower.. All seems fine except the temperature.. On the bar where the stop is its etched 38C but running it there and measuring the temperature with a digital probe I am only seeing at best about 33-34C.. Obviously I can go past the lock and make it hotter but when I have used other showers they have felt comfortable set to the stop where mine feels too cold so I have to increase the temperature by turning it past the stop..

How accurate should that marking be?

Is there any adjustment on the thermostatic valve to increase the temperature at the stop?

Thanks.

If it was installed by a plumber he / she should have set the temperature before leaving, and should have left the instructions / installation manual with you.
