I have a multifunction shower, monsoon head shower, massage jet cabin. The functions are selected from one knob and the water temperature from a knob below the function selector. I have a pressure regulator valve in line before the shower inlets and a 2bar pump supplies the needed pressure.
The thermostatic valve has stopped working giving only tepid water. I have removed the control knob revealing the brass spline, what I need to know is, how do I remove the valve?

That depends on the model!
Often a big box spanner is involved.
See showerdoc .com for lots of pictures of internals

I don't see why you need a p reducing valve after a 2 bar pump. Mines 4 bar...

The manufacturer stated that I needed to have equal pressure on both hot and cold, hence the pressure equalising valve.

The attached photos may help to explain my problem. Do I need a special spanner to extract the valve?
