Today, asked to look at some work a gentleman had done himself, and he couldn't get to work properly. He has installed a socket for his pond pump, and had used flex in hose pipe back to the garage. The flex was wired into the back of a single socket. He was using the single sockets switch and wondering why the pump would not turn off!
He said he had it plugged in at first, but thought he would hard wire it to free up a plug. He thought the switch would still turn the power off
