Trouble is, it's a bit complicated and technical.
The dumb fuks of the world think they're being clever by finding one tiny piece of info which goes along with their life-script of being a dumb fuk so they spout it out.
It's poo.
It's on a level with saying smoking is fine because your grannie spluttered on until she was 97.

It's a psychological problem which afflicts dumb people, who are just too dumb to see it.
But they're arrogant enough, to think that their shyte is simply the other side of the argument.

There's a large number of intelligent, inquiring, analytical people who find out, question and understand all they can, and educate themselves about what's really going on, and are supicious and skeptical as hell, who all come to much the same conclusions as each other.
You know, the ones the squalid little dumb fuks refer to as sheep.
A lot of bitterness there mate. No
point in getting uptight just cos not everyone agrees with your opinions.

Human caused Climate change isn't really an opinion anymore.

It used to be 97% of scientists that believed human activity was causing massively faster climate change, now it's more or less every scientist.

There is still a lot of debate over rates and effects, but climate change is about as well accepted as plate tectonics.

You might not believe in it, but science doesn't care about your opinion (or mine). There's no other plausible mechanism to describe the unprecedentedly rapid and accelerating change in the climate.

But what to do about it. When the whole world shut down for 3 months because of covid, CO2 emmissions were reduced by less than 20%.

I see we're getting the old 'the climate always changes' line.

It does, but slowly. We're seeing the climate change something like a thousand to a million times faster than any in the historical record. That should take a meteor or supervolcano.

Renewable power, costing CO2 into materials and products. Switching to lower carbon techniques (Hydrogen steel, carbon negative concrete etc.). Sadly possibly reducing beef consumption ( :( )

Potentially carbon capture or Geo-engineering.

If you want a detailed answer for the UK this is long but comprehensive: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/net-zero-strategy

I'd just read the summary and then dip your toes into any areas you care about.

Exactly, now we're getting to the issue. Everyone whose posted recognizes the climate changes. The sceptics with good reason are sceptical of how governments address this present day version of climate change. Who will be the winners and losers, are we just to follow their orders?

It is an amazing coincidence that the current crop of 'its too difficult' or 'we can't possibly do anything' doom merchants are almost exactly the same people who claimed that the climate wasn't changing in the first place.

Anyone would think that the same companies and organizations that suppressed the truth about climate change are still trying to avoid having to change their very profitable business models.

You can't change just a few things yourself ? You need to follow orders ?

Lots of small steps can make 1 big one. Try it, just change a few things.

You do talk some ****e, congestion charge to start with if you run a small business what do you just suck it up and will all your competitors do the same.

Exactly, human nature is what it is, that bit in the bible the meek shall inherit the earth,o what's the point of them inheriting the earth with their gene pool. It gets a bit samey singing kumbyyah after a bit.

Improving a lot of areas then with the amount springing up with green signs involved.

Or you can just ignore it and do nothing.
