Is there any good reason not to use 200mm loft insulation to insulate between 100mm joists?
(This is actually for insulating a garage roof rather than a loft but the principal is the same.) I'll be putting insulation between the joists and covering it over with OSD board, so the wadding will not be able to expand to 200mm, but the (subsudised) price for the 200mm is less than half that of the 100mm.
