Child abuse is a serious matter, some members considered the thread to be taking an offensive turn.
If you wish to complain, please email admin.
Firstly, I agree that child abuse is a serious matter.
Your reply is interesting, because, on many occasions, various members of the site administration team (i.e. including moderators) have said that the 'Alert Moderators' Hyperlink results in a message being sent to Admin, and not sent to the Moderators. Is this incorrect?
If it is correct, was it Admin who deleted the topic? If so, why are you explaining in a way that suggests that you deleted the posts, instead of Admin presenting the explanation?
And if it is correct, then how did "some members" (sic.) notify you (or whoever) of their concern?

Edit: your post was modified while I was writing my reply.
At no point have I said, or implied, that I am complaining, or that I wish to complain.
Since you're not willing to inform everyone of the rule that was broken, and since you don't wish to discuss this any further, then, for the record, I repeat the following non-offensive and rule-abiding post:

Explain the fact that you found it apparently funny to joke about the subject of child abuse..?
I haven't yet found a way of explaining the emotion experienced when I find something humourous, other than saying that I just do.
Notwithstanding that, I think you're bending a point to assert that I "found it funny to joke about child abuse". The joke was a play on words, not something that was making humour
out of child abuse. There's a distinct difference.
