Whilst not without its faults, I think the BBC on the whole (i.e. not just its news output) remains something to be valued. The funding model definitely needs looked at, however it still puts out a lot of quality content. I'm still happy to use the BBC as one of my news sources. I suspect some who call for it to be scrapped like getting all their news from certain other types of outlets.
