Thorn Boiler housewarmer 30/45

Help my son has one of the above installed and it will fire up for a few mins then cuts off. Fklame good and blue. No heating or hot water. Adjusting boiler control brings it back on then it goes off and does not restart.
Can anyone suggest a solution please.

pump or lack of water spring to mind

Careful with working on these, fair bit of asbestos in them if memory serves me right
