Hi Guys,
I've been in the sidelines appreciating the forum for some time but as I have a bit of problem I thought I would join in and ask for some help.
Here it is:
I moved into a domestic property mid last year which had a field at the back which floods and turns to mush if you even look at it during the rainy season. As I wanted to be able to use some of it as a kind of driveway extension I decided to dig it out and make a hardstanding. Due to a keen interest from one of my neighbours the planners have come round and have asked me to remove the pile of soil I have dug out or apply for planning to keep it. To give you some idea of the size of the pile it is 40m x 4 m wide at the base by about 1.5m high. They claim it is classed as engineering works and is a bund. My plan was to use much of it to level out some large undulations in the rest of field and dispose of the surplus later on.
I cannot find any reference to this in the Planning Portal so I am unable to establish what the allowable criteria are for piles of soil. Can any of you clever lot help please?
