I want to change my wall thermostat for a timer is this an easy DIY job? My radiators dont currentlyt have thermostats on them, the thermostat i currently have on my wall doesnt seem to controll the temp of my house its either on or off. is there anything i can do?

Check the existing thermostat first. Get an ordinary room thermometer and put it next to the thermostat to see if the temperature changes enough to trigger the thermostat.
Then you'll know if the thermostat is faulty or it's just in the wrong place.
