throttle cam stuck on peugeot 206

Hi, I have a 1999 206 1.4l.Petrol. Today I was doing some general maintenance and revved the engine to the max!! Now the accelerator pedal has dropped and the cable has went slack. On investigation I've found that the throttle cam has went really tight and will not spring back to idle position. Any advice would be appreciated ie, is a simple job to do.

wen you reved the engin to the max did you use the pedel or pul the cabel at the carbutettor end? cus if you did you have probbably puled it mor than the pedal wud, and its come unhoked at the pedal end.
