We have some splash back tiling around our kitchen worktop. It was done by the previous owners... Whilst the tiles are mostly ok, the grout and the trim aren't great.

My initial plan was to grind down some of the grout and refinish it, then remove the trim and maybe caulk the edges. Having looked at tiling trim, I now realise that it's not straightforward due to the way it's fixed in place.

I don't want to embark on this and end up with a worse result. I was hoping to get some advice for the best way to approach the edges and the joins at the corners etc. Have included some photos.

Any advice welcome...! Happy with a compromised result as long as it's likely to be better...!
