tile grout sealer

after re grouting my bathroom wall tiles i was browsing around my local hard ware store and came across tile grout sealer and was reading the label and it was stating it would keep stains mildew etc from the grout for 5 years. is this stuff any good or is it just another gimmick as its expensive . if it is guenine and does what it says i will give it a try ,any one tried it and would any of the professionals on here recommend it

look further down the threads mate.

when you removed the old grout did you get every bit removed?
if not did you leave it for a few days to dry out,before re-grouting?

these sealer if you read them you still have to maintain/clean your tiles/grout.

again the best prevention for grout staining is maintance.i.e
clean the area often ,have ventilation..windows open/exstactor fan installed.

lets say 1 shower in the house ok,there are 2 adults 2 kids in the house so thats a min.. of 4 showers a day,so the grout wont have time to dry out
unless you have good ventilation.
 
tictic myself and my wife always maintain the tiles and make sure there is plenty of ventilation i just want to know is this stuff any good is it worth putting on the grout
