If I lay 18mm plywood over my chipboard bathroom floor to tile it I will be left with an 18mm step to the landing carpet.

Does anyone make a doorway trim for such a step?

Also should I use 12mm or 18mm plywood over my chipboard, its mostly level but uneven in a few places?

Thanks

Best to remove the chipboards and replace with plywood to keep the same floor level, put in extra noggins on the joint of the plywood

Cant remove floor boards ... I'm not removing bath and sink unit which modern like new ... So have to lay ply wood over existing chipboard ....

Have seen reducers for doorways, but wonder if the go to 18mm?

You should be ok with 12mm ply. Just follow the instructions in the tiling basics sticky near the top of the page.

Thanks ...

I might use 18mm ply 'just to be sure' ... and accept the ramp into the bathroom ...

Anyone know of an off the shelf door trim ramp for this?
