Tiles are off, were the bath sits it needs plastering were loose, does the plaster need to rest on the bath, or do i try to keep a few mill off? before i tile.

Is one coat plaster the one i need for filling a few gaps?

How thick can you plaster in one coat?

How long to dry before tiling?

Would pollyfilla be better use?

A coat of pva first.
Plaster to the bath.
Use Bonding plaster.
No more than about 10mm per coat. Scratch the surface to key it between coats and give the next coat when the first coat is just starting to firm up.
Leave it until it looks dry. This could take a couple of weeks.
Don't use Polyfilla.

By the way, I'm no plasterer so I stand to be corrected. I just felt bad cause no one replied to your thread.
