Hi all

We are laying 6mm Tilemaster cement boards over floorboards, and just wanted to know which is the best or most commonly used method of installing these?

- A layer of rapid flex tile adhesive, then screw the boards into the flooboards using 25mm screws

- Use 'green grip' adhesive on the backs of the boards, before laying and securing with screws

- Simply screw the boards to the floorboards without any adhesive

If using adhesive, should you use the manufacturers own products, or does it matter?

When tiling wooden floors, I always measure out and draw a 4 inch by 4 inch grid on the plywood or cement boards and screw down. Then flexible adhesive and flexible grout. Never had a problem.

I try to stick to BAL adhesives and grout.
