Hi, I know that this has been covered but I still need help! I want to tile on my bathroom floor. One person has told me to use 12mm ply (which will result in a 'ledge') and another person has said that 6mm will do (no ledge). I do not want a ledge into the bathroom so don't want to use 12mm but am worried about only using 6mm. What do people reccommend? Or what would be an affordable alternative? Not lino and I can't afford Karndean.
Thanks, Liz

If the ledge is out of the question & it were my bathroom.
I would ensure that all joists & floor boards are as firm as they could be & go with 6mm.
