Tiling Edge Strips

Hi All
Been looking at tile edging strips which i think would look great when i eventually get to do my tiling. My question is that they come in different sizes and i was wondering which size i should get, obviously this encompasses the size of the tile but how much should be grout. If i have an 8mm tile, should i get 10mm edging? Is 2mm too much for grout or too little?

Read grout as adhesive here, i think my tiles are either 8mm or 6mm but i do not how much or how little space to give for this adhesive as i dont want it to be proud of the strip
