i have constructed a concrete base, and plan to tile over it with quarry tiles.

what adhesive and grout should be used??

thanks
Matt

Flexible cement powder base adhesive but if it’s a solid fuel fire most grout probably won’t survive the high temperature for long; I would leave a narrow expansion gap between the tiles around ½mm & silicone.

most cement based grouts will take temperatures up to 150 oC..all tho not at a prolonged time i would suspect, think an epoxy grout might be more better or sand/cement mix.

try bal/weber/mapei websites for more info..
