Got the builders in and they've removed a fire and back boiler from my dining room and left me with a square hole in the wall thats been rendered with quite a sharp feeling plaster/bonding. Personally, I would have been happier if he'd just left the brick exposed.
Now, its not very attractive to look at and I was wondering if I could slate tile the inside? We're wanting to stick a fire basket and burn the occasional log at xmas. Your suggestions please!
