Tiling New Plasterboard

Hi all,
Just finished putting up ne plasterboard in the bathroom and away to start tiling. The plasterboard is tapered edge. Since I am tiling and not painting etc. Do I need to tape and fill the joints or will the tile adhesive make up the slight diffrence in thickness because of the taper?
