I am planning to lay tiles with under floor heating on a wooden floor.

My first question is:

Should I lift the floorboards, stick in many new supports between the joists to stop flexing, lay 18mm waterproof chipboard flooring panels, then the 10mm insulation, then the under floor heating cable and then the tiles.

or should I leave the floorboards and overlay the 18mm chipboard panels, + all the other layers?

The problem with the second option is it raises up the floor so much!

My second Question is should I use the ready mixed flexible tile adhesive which is very expensive or can I use the flexible additive for cement based adhesives?
