I am about to put down a new floor covering in my Kitchen which has a suspended wooden floor. I would like to put down stone floor tiles, but have been warned that this may not be a good idea due to movement of the wood and subsequent breakage. Any thoughts?

Change your flooring to plywood or use plywood on top bearing in mind the floor level will be higher, then screws down and they are many difference type of flooring adhesive for flexible movement etc..
