Tiling Over Emulsion

The guy doing my tiling is planning to tile over the emulsion paint currently of the walls. Will this be OK?

should be unless the paint is loose.

If you have any worries, work a wire brush over the paint to expose some of the plaster

Not really my field but id say if its a vinyl emulsion it should be ok..if its contract maybe a coat of pva first as contract emulsion is permiable.
