Tiling over tiles....

Richard c. The weber set plus looks good stuff it says for fixing onto low porosity substrates such as power floated concrete or existing ceramic or vinyl tiles and suitable for use in dry and wet conditions
Very strong bond strength but no mention of straight onto aqua board.
Do you know if l will be able to put this adhesive straight on the aqua boards.
One more question l would like to ask is, when l tile the inside of the window reveal above how do l prevent the tiles falling down..

Need to clear something up here; are you using "Aquapanel", a cement based backer board manufactured by Knauf; or "Aquaboard", manufactured by Lafarge which is basically just a moisture resistant plasterboard.

As I said, I use BAL not Webber but from what I can see on the data sheet, Weber.set plus is a non-flexible polymer-modified addy designed for use on solid substrates including your old tile base. Tile backer boards, plaster board & suspended floors require the use of flexible addy; if you want to use the same Webber adhesive, they recommend mixing with AD 250 where movement is expected. This should take care of it but I have no experience of how effective this will be; ideally pick a flexible addy from the Webber range - Webber.set SBF perhaps!

If your tiling onto backer/plasterboard on the overboard reveal, it should grab & hold very quickly without any problems; if it’s the tiles your going over then my guess is you will lave to either hold or prop the tiles for some time as initial adhesion (grab) will not be so good; trial error I think!

Starting the tiling tomorrow and would like some advice on prep/marking out the bathroom ready for tiling and where to start.
Do l start at the bath wall and work my way round to the side walls or start at the basin/window wall.

Every room is different & you should concentrate on the visual appearance of the walls you will see immediately you walk into the room, sometimes this means going against generally recognised principles of laying out.
