Please can anyone suggest how I can tile this plasterboard area behind the new toilet/ sink combo. Had to have this built to hide pipework, but not sure how to tile it as top of area is removable and needs to remain so to allow access to pipes.
Can't work out how to do external corner along the edge...what trim can I use that will still allow us to remove this top piece if we need to? Or any other suggestions? Paint?

Firstly, can you get a piece of cement board to replace the top piece of plasterboard, it will be much more durable long term.

Secondly, you'll need to tile the whole back wall, behind the toilet, can you remove it?

The problem you have made for yourself is that the ' box' has been finished too low. Even without the ' removable' issue, it is still too low as you are attempting to tile level with the top of the sink. This is a two step fix :-
1. Raise the height of the box by another , say 100 mm, to allow yourself a small ' splashback ' face above the sink.
2. Now you can decide if you want to tile the whole top, or have a ' hatch within the lid'. If you go for the whole lid being tiled, then you can't silicon it in.
