Hi, Possibly a silly question but should I tile first to avoid a lot of cutting and then fit bath, toilet and basin or the other way around...

Or - slide the bath into position once its all levelled etc... mark off where it will go against the wall... then batton off horizontally at the next tile level above it... then tile the room.

You can the put the bath back into place, seal it against the wall and do the final row of tiles down onto the bath and seal again.

Two advantages:

A) Double seal so better waterproofing, and the tiles go onto the edge of the bath so encouraging shower water to run into the bath not back behind the tiles.

B) You can tile and grout most of the room without having the inconvenience of the bath in the way - and also means you dont risk dropping any adhesive or grout onto the new bath - or worse still a tile!

Actually, there are 3...

C) If your room isnt exactly square you can "lose" some of this by channelling the bath into the walls if necessary before tiling down onto it.
