Need have been told can not tile on to MDF if i can what do i need to do

What exactly is it that you are tiling?floor, partition wall, boxing in etc
Also what grade of MDf is it? Standard, Moisture resisting or external.
Give some more detail & I may be able to suggest an adhesive.

MDF is standard and i am using it for boxing
Have you already done the boxing in? If not I suggest you use plasterboard instead - unless we're talking about a shower/bath area.
